Palermo wins 1-0 against Udinese on Sunday. After watching his Palermo side climb to fourth in the standings with their third victory in as many games, coach Walter Zenga was surprisingly downbeat as he spoke to SkySport in the post-match interview.

“Paradoxically I am worried after this defeat as I lost [Federico] Balzaretti after just four minutes and I will be without [Cesare] Bovo who is suspended for the midweek game against Inter.

“Sometimes victories such as today’s have hidden damages, and I would have preferred a draw if I could have kept all personnel at my disposal for the next encounter.

“The boys played great today and all that I ask of them is to play with a ‘no limits’ attitude.

“Winning balanced games such as today’s gives the side a massive boost in confidence, and we now prepare for the coming fixtures in the knowledge that we can succeed in the most difficult of encounters.”
