Ever since BBC broadcast Sicily Unpacked with Andrew Graham-Dixon and Giorgio Locatelli, an old post containing some information about La Vucciria Market by renowned Sicilian painter Renato Guttuso resuscitated. It looks like people are desperately searching for prints of this famous painting. If you have any information, please write to us. Thanks.
Hi I wonder if any one has had any luck in tracking down authorised prints of Guttuso s work yet?
I have contacted Guttuso s home page and there is a piece on there about unauthorised copies which are circulating but nothing about genuine prints available to purchase.
If I hear back from them regarding where we can order them from I ll post the details on this site, similarly if any one else has any news can they please post it here.

Hi If you put Guttuso in on search on Italian Ebay there are a couple of options for La Vucciria with international delivery.
I am now looking for ‘The Girl’ which is a young women on a bed with a window behind her with what looks like the roof tops of Palmero in the background if anyone knows where I can obtain a copy of this from?

The above is a site where artists produce copies of famous paintings- no idea of quality!!?? Anyone used this site??
I saw a large print in Palermo lady month. It was slightly too big for my suitcase but I am going back next month and will enquire if they can mail it back to the uk for me. I will take down the name and address of shop when I am there.
I bought it in Palermo in PosterArt gallery for ca. 20 euro, 50cm x 50cm print. Owner of this gallery also sells this print on ebay.
Postage is quite expensive, ca. 30 euro – for me I was lucky, I could collect it in palermo
