The award winning Franco Battiato is internationally regarded as one of the most original creators in Italian music from the 1970s to the present. The multi-talented Sicilian singer, songwriter and composer is in town to make his first New York concert appearance in 10 years on Monday October 19, 2009 at (Le) Poisson Rouge. On the occasion the artist will participate, the next day on October 20, in a conversation with Stefano Albertini at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at New York University.

This exhibition is part of the EtnaFest 2009 and is hosted at Le Ciminiere – the modern art gallery in Catania. It showcases pictures of local flowers growing on Mount Etna. The exhibition opens on October 16 and lasts through December 16.
