The World Fencing Championships takes place in Catania, the sicilian town below Mount Etna, from October 8 to 16, 2011.
Catania will see the participation of 1700 athletes representing 130 countries. At the same time there will also be the Paralympic Games: 200 athletes and 30 nations represented.
During the 8 days of competition (8-16 October 2011) over 2500 experts (athletes, referees, managers, carers, teachers) will animate the city that hosts the World Championships.
