Type of accommodation

Sicily offers a wide variety of accommodation: from luxury resorts to hotels, apartments & villas for rent, bed & breakfast, hostels, camping, agriturismo. Popular destinations, such as Taormina or the main provinces, offer a wider choice of accommodation.

Hotel system

Hotels are graded from one to five stars: the one star hotels are inexpensive and might not have a bathroom in the room; two and three star hotels are clean and comfortable; four star hotels are more expensive, have bigger rooms and bathrooms and, in most cases, swimming pools. The five star hotels are the most expensive and luxurious type of accommodation available.

Reservations

It is advisable to book in advance via phone, fax or telephone. Most hotels have personnel able to communicate in English and other languages.

Credit cards

All major credit cards are accepted.
